As a Human Resource Associate at Tanimura & Antle there are many responsibilities I hold. Throughout the time that I have been an HR Associate I have learned how to perfect my ability to multi task and manage my time. For instance, assisting employees that come in the office and processing reports simultaneously. Some of the responsibilities include answering phone calls, whether it may be questions or concerns that employees have. Throughout every seasonal transition, I assured that I have contacted employees confirming their return to the season, and mailed out re-call letters. When we begin our recruiting process, I have been properly trained to register new employees and as part of that I have been able to affectively explain the Company policies and benefits that are offered. Other responsibilities of mine include, maintaining weekly and period end inventory of returned and issued checks, and completing employee verifications by phone, mail or fax. I also work with various departments for example Accounts Payable; when employees have a staled dated check, I work with our AP department to process a new check. I have been able to assist our Generalist department in training such as EPA and Safety. Since I am the only HR Assistant who travels with the company to Yuma, I have been able to learn about the H2A and help with the orientation process. Lastly, I have gained experience with benefits by working side by side with our coordinator regarding matters from FMLA, COBRA and other insurance paperwork.
As Staffing Specialist, I did recruitments for a variety of job openings for multiple companies. I reviewed resumes and made appointments with applicants for interviews. After interviewing them, I proceeded by choosing the right candidate for the positions that we had available. I did this by making sure I had the correct person-job match, then moved forward by scheduling a second interview for candidates to meet with our customers.
